One of my favorite trends for this summer are eyelet tops. What is an eyelet top? It’s a small hole edged with embroidered stitches as part of a design. They have been around for a while, but are now making a strong comeback. They are gorgeous and the detailing is beautiful. This lightweight fabric is similar to the fabric used for embroidery, the trend we are seeing all over the place. Embroidery is when designs are sewn into the fabric creating a raised pattern and an eyelet design is more of a uniformed cut out that creates a pattern. Check out my “5 Reasons Why You Should Give the Embroidered Trend a Try” post.
This drapey eyelet top is perfect for the warmer months because it is so light and airy. A lot of these style tops are very sheer and can be see through, like the one I am wearing. A super easy solution is to wear a cami with really thin straps underneath and tuck it in.I decided to pair it with my faux leather jacket for an edgier look. This jacket is also on major sale right now from Nordstrom. They are running their half yearly sale with items up to 40% off sale through June 4th. Definitely, check it out!
